Seems like this post is going to be full of a one common factor...Madison! I guess when March is your month to turn 13 and busy with school activities...that tends to happen from time to time! Hope you enjoy being the "Kid of the Month"...you know, since you are so often overlooked! (rolling eyes!) ~*~ As I mentioned, I am now a mother of a teenager. OIY! That came way to soon. Mark was the hero of the day. Since he was at home from work, he surprised Madi with a cake he whipped up....complete with sprinkles!

~*~ Spring break came...and spring break went. Such a bittersweet time. We did manage to get some much needed scrubbing done. Abbie and Sydnee managed the bathrooms....

Callie covered the upholstery department....

Madison got a much overdue lesson in folding laundry....

And I got to lay on the couch...eat bon-bons...and snap pics! Yeah, right!

Yep..finally got the wood shutters that I have been wanting! My cousin Rick made them...like in just a couple of days! If I had known thats all the time it would take...I would have had them done 2 years ago!!!

They are just perfect...exactly what I had envisioned!

~*~ Madi went to her second Sport Banquet of the year. This time is was honoring the fall sports...basketball. This is the first time I tagged along. I usually "insist" that it is a Madi/dad event...but I caved and went. Not to bad of a time!

~*~ The girls got their Spring School Pics back.

~*~ Madi got to "break-in" our four-wheeler to a little springtime muddin'! I really miss the "pre-kid" days when Mark and I would spend all day playing in the mud with our friends...some great memories! But...time goes on...kids are here to stay...so we might as well get them dirty, too!

And memories are extra sweet when it involves your BFF!!!

~*~ We had a Survivor Party for Madi's birthday. We ended up getting rained on and had to make some quick location changes...but I think everyone had a good time! The challenges where hilarious to watch..the kids did great! Madi has lots of pics from the party on her Facebook...imagine that!!!lol Check them out if you like!
