Welcome to Four Chickadees and Me blog! It is here that I share my often pointless thoughts...my over stressed feelings and stories that are just to crazy to keep to myself! And yes...most include my girls I like to think of as my little chickadees...they indeed follow me everywhere!

Feel free to check out some of my other blogs that I have listed above...just click and enjoy!

September

Going to bundle the whole month of September into one post...which means....going to be a long one! I'll hold on a minute why you take a potty break................................ok, now go grab a drink...........................................good, your back. Get cozy and lets get started...this may take awhile!

~*~ Ok...these first few pics go back into August, but we will just pretend that they belong in this post! Baby Elijah...what more do I need to say? I was so blessed to be present as my sister gave birth to this little bundle of love...he is nothing short of amazing! Just look at those wrinkly little baby feet!!!

....and those curled up "praying" hands!!!
....that sweet little mouth! Oh...I could just go on and on!

~*~Big event this school year...my baby goes to Kindergarten! Yes...she went to pre-school and it was great and she had a blast...BUT, this is kindergarten! You know...the "K" in K-12 grades...the beginning of it all! The start of her life and the end of mine...I'm just sure my heart is going to break any moment because MY BABY IS IN KINDERGARTEN!!!!

~*~ One of the favorite things about our home is the space...the indoor space...the outdoor space. And along with the space also comes peace and quiet for me! So when Madi comes home with a handful of friends wanting to spend the night....I shrug my shoulders...say "sure, why not?"....and then ban them to the basement and outdoors for the night! With blankets, sleeping bags and snacks in tow...the girls made comfy little pods on the trampoline and called it a night!
Now, here is where things start to get really bizarre and odd. I got up in the morning...on a weekend (I know...pretty heroic of me!)....and cooked breakfast for them!

See that thing on the stove?....the pan full of eggs and ham? Uhmmm...that is a rare sight in our kitchen! I cook...just not breakfast. Our breakfast vocabulary starts with cereal and ends with waffles...not much else in between! So, you see...I was really stepping up to the plate! (pun intended...hold the applause!)

The sleeping beauties soon woke up and all my cooking efforts vanished in a matter of minutes!

~*~ One unique quality my twins have (besides being twins!)...is the way they can find a birds nest. These two gals can sniff a nest out in a matter of minutes and have witnessed the birth (and saved!) many, many baby birds . Here is the latest...and they all flew away without any problems! unlike the other nest of birds that I posted about earlier! :-( The momma was named Jasper and she was so funny and brave. She would hop around the deck with worms and bugs...feed her babies...and not give us a second thought! Can you see the nest in my planter?

~*~ Madison had 5 teeth pulled at the dentist. Not a fun day for her! She is getting prepped for braces and had 1 tooth left in the back to come out. We knew it would be soon....we just never would have guessed how!

Yep...loose teeth do stick to jollyranchers!

~*~ I think this pic speaks for itself. Beware of who you ask to babysit!!!LOL Some just aren't cut out for the stress!

~*~ I still have lots on my "to-do" list, but I was finally able to cross off one major chore....GARAGE SALE! Since moving, I have had goodies stashed everywhere...mainly the basement. It was a lot of work, yet so worth it in the end. It feels good to purge!

~*~ The Lions Pride Band marched in the Old Settlers Day parade in Elk City. This is the first time I have been to this parade...it was fun!

Cody (my nephew) is a drummer. As you can see...he takes his job very seriously!lol

Here comes Madison...a little shy in her first parade to march in! The kids sounded great!

Beside the band, the next best thing is the CANDY!

But I tend to agree with Elijah...a nice nap afterwards sounds like the best part of all!

~*~ LETS GO CUBS, LETS GO!!! The cheers fill the air as volleyball/football season rolls around! Madi and friends start off the first home game by getting the school fired up with a Pep Rally!

The Volleyball girls take a victory!

Then the crowd heads down to the football field to cheer on the boys!

~*~ Mark has been wanting to get the girls a peddle-boat for the pond. So, with the twins birthday this month (9...can you believe it?!?!) ...we thought it would be a great time to bite the bullet and order one!

It ended up being a great buy! The girls love to go out and it is actually a good little workout...just ask Mark and I...we barely made it back up the hill afterwards!

Of course, the love comes out when daddy gives a gift...funny how that works!!!lol

~*~ I'm weird...and I don't mind. For instance...I can't brush my teeth without closing my eyes...and I always think of the story "Little Black Sambo" when I cook pancakes...always! I think my mom must of overdid that story when I was child!lol My children are weird...and it bothers me! Sometime I just want to scream.."Enough already!!!!" Anyhoo...one of my weird children can not eat cereal a normal way! She always picks out the "goodies"...lines them up to save for last! Clean-up duty is not fun after Syd eats cereal!

So that catches me up for September...but wait!...its mid-October now. Can this poor gal catch a break?!?!? Guess I better start digging in the camera file and start posting!

September: Mason's Day

Our family had so much fun joining in on the 2nd Annual Mason's Day! Of course, Sydnee heads straight to the inflatables once we arrive!

The twins are seen running from booth to booth trying out all the games and showing off the prizes that they win! This year, the junior high cheerleader helped run some of the game booths. If you see Madison around, be sure and ask her about the dart game! It is a funny (not to her!) little story....it involved her leg and a wayward dart! Ouch!

Syd gets all pretty!

The big event is the mud volleyball tournament! We enjoyed watching cousin Charity and br0-in-law Kyler get done and dirty! Guess it was worth it...they won!
Super cute booth idea...decorate your own cupcakes!
Who would have thought eating 5 crackers would be such a hard task! We cheered on all our family members that braved the saltines!
An exciting round of "Minute-2-Win it" challenges kept the crowd on their toes!
Lots of great times for a great cause!
