Welcome to Four Chickadees and Me blog! It is here that I share my often pointless thoughts...my over stressed feelings and stories that are just to crazy to keep to myself! And yes...most include my girls I like to think of as my little chickadees...they indeed follow me everywhere!

Feel free to check out some of my other blogs that I have listed above...just click and enjoy!

Week(s) in Pics: Aug. 1-12

*It's that time of the year again...time for some school shopping! My girls just happen to be in the classes that had the most school supplies listed...$$CHA-CHING$$....these little things add up when your shopping for 4 kiddos!

*The good ol' Elk Country Fair came and went. I can remember being a kid and waiting for this summer highlight to begin...not so exciting as you get older and know that there is going to be lots of heat and sweat to deal with! The girls had a good time taking in the activities!

We cheered on my nephew Spencer in the hotdog eating contest...waved at Madison as the cheerleaders float drove by...went to the park for kid games....bought snowcones...and said our hellos to some barnyard critters!

*Sydnee finally grew enough to fill her sisters shoes...well, not really shoes! She is now a proud owner of the twins old 4-Wheeler! She was thrilled! This little thing can get up and go, so I was glad to see her go nice and slow! We went helmet shopping the next day and now she wants to go..Go...GO!

*The girls and I got to go PaRty! My Aunt Ginger was turning 65 and what better way to celebrate than with a surprise party full of family, friends and homemade icecream! We had a great time and enjoyed staying out late talking to some of your favorite people!

*Summer is ending. It really hit me this week as I was looking at our little drought ridden pond by the house. The dog days of summer is defiantly still upon us and the outdoors still scream "SUMMER!"...yet there is a subtle hint that it is coming to an end. That makes me sad. I love summer...everything about it. The lazy days...long nights...sunny skies...refreshing pool...shoeless walks...and even the blast of heat that greets me at the front door.

If the full truth be known...I really hate to see summer come to an end because that means I am heading back to work. I like my job...but I like being home more! So with only a few days left before the alarm clock gets dusted off..I figured I better make my mornings a little more organized...so I headed to the closet!

After living all summer in tank tops, swimsuits and flipflops...I can no longer ignore this part of the house.

*My day was make with just 2 words.....Baby Elijah! My sister Julie gave birth to a healthy and beautiful baby boy. I was so honored to get to be in the labor room with her and her hubby Kyler. It was an experience I will never forget! I can't wait to watch this little guy grow and see what blessing he brings to our lives!

*Aunt Polly is spoiling the girls!
She brought her "old" laptop down for the girls...Syd has pretty much claimed it to be her own. I don't mind to much if she is playing educational games...but she gets sidetracked easily with dressing up and adding bling to the virtual paperdolls!
*My baby is going to school.
Syd is starting Kindergarten...full days...15 kids...lots to learn. Her teacher says the kids should be reading by Christmas time, so she is really excited about that...she is my bookworm! I took her to Kindergarten Roundup and she got to explore her class. Judging by the way she acted right at home... I don't think I will have a problem with her wanting to go to school..the problem will be getting her back home!

Baby Lincoln

It seems like forever since I have had the chance to dip back into my old job of taking photos! I often miss it and enjoy getting a chance to play once in awhile. I was extra happy to be taking pics of my cousins youngest little man, Lincoln. He turned one and we just had to get some pics...fun location...gorgeous child...poor timing! It was so hot outside! The boys where troopers (his big bros jumped in for a few pics!) and I sweated off a few calories...so everything worked out!

Just a few....

Week in Photos: July 25-31

*We have been spending a lot of time in the pool. Does anyone think its been a little warm lately?

*The girls gathered up some baking supplies and fixed up some good ol' fashion MUDPIES!

*Madi and her friend Sarah had a late night trip in the time machine. Not sure what the medals around their necks are for...maybe a 1970's stop to the Olympics? I'm sure they had a groovy time..they always do!

*Sad story. The twins have watched many bird hatch from eggs..its kinda their "thing"! Well..this silly momma bird built a nest where it wasn't suppose to be...in the garage on top of my garage sale stuff! I had to get to some things, so I asked the girls to carefully move the nest to a safer spot. Well...that part didn't go so well...found out the nest didn't have a bottom and 4 baby birds tumbled out of the nest. The girls got some gloves...carefully picked the babies up and put them in the nest... this happened twice. I explained to them that the momma bird might not come back since the nest had been moved and the babies had been disturbed...but I was wrong! She came back and continued to care for her babies! All of them (expect one) quickly grew and hopped away to freedom!

The twins watched the last baby bird carefully...knowing that it too would anyday take flight! Sure enough, it hopped out of the nest and headed out of the garage. Sadly, its flying skills where a bit on the shaky side and it landed in a tray that was full of oil from a recent vehicle change. The girls frantically tried to clean the oil off of the bird...but somehow chaos broke loose...the dogs got involved...and we ended up with a dead baby bird. Very sad day for the twins...it broke my heart to see them so upset when they tried so hard to help! They conducted a funeral that morning and all was right with the world by afternoon!

*We went to the Indy park for a party! Syd was so excited to ride on the merry-go-round...it was the first thing she ran to. It started to rain and we never got to take that ride. I guess there is always a next time!

*Grandma Connie came and stayed a few days with us. She brought some garden goodies along...yum! She also took the girls to the water park and played mini-golf! The best part of that day was that this momma got to go shopping all day...kid free!!!!!

*This girls got to reunited with a long lost friend...their PLAYHOUSE! We just know got it moved over to our house...boy, have they missed it! It got some bumps and bruises during the move, but the girls are anxious to spruce it up and put it to use!
